Block Paving Methodology
We use the industry standard methodology for instalation of block paved driveways. This is detailed below;
- Break up and remove existing driveway
- Dig out earth and rubble
- Compact earth
- Lay and compact 150mm scalpings sub base
- Lay Geotextile membrane
- Lay and level off 50mm dust limestone base
- Install rain drains along driveway entrance to manage water runoff and comply with planning requirements.
- Lay block paving
- Cut to finish and concrete bed the edges
- Compact the area with a vibrating plate
- Brush in kiln dried sand and vibrate again
